About Us
We are a Uganda-based safari company dedicated to crafting authentic, well-planned journeys through East and Central Africa's forests, savannahs and highlands — from gorilla trekking in Bwindi to the plains of the Serengeti.
Who We Are
A local team shaping journeys across East and Central Africa
Inganzo Safaris is based in Uganda, at the heart of a region that holds some of the world's last mountain gorillas, expansive savannah parks and living cultural traditions. We work across Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and DR Congo, helping travellers move through this landscape with a team that knows it well.
Our focus is East and Central Africa in its full range — gorilla and chimpanzee trekking in the forested west, wildlife safaris on the open plains, highland hikes, birding trails and encounters with local communities. Every itinerary we build draws on first-hand knowledge of the parks, the roads between them and the small details that make a trip run smoothly.
Where We Operate
Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi and DR Congo, including cross-border safari routes.
What We Specialise In
Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, wildlife safaris and tailor-made itineraries.
Our Approach
Every itinerary starts with a conversation
We plan around the traveller, not a fixed package. That means understanding what matters to you before we suggest a single route.
What You Want to See
Primates, big game, birdlife, culture or a mix — we start with what draws you to the region.
What Fits Your Trip
We plan within a realistic budget, being clear about what each option includes.
When You Can Travel
Your travel window shapes park choice, permit availability and route sequencing.
Accommodation Style
From simple lodges to more comfortable stays, matched to how you like to travel.
Our Guides & Local Team
People who know these parks well
Our guides and local team are based in the countries we operate in and spend their time on the ground — in the forests, on the savannah trails and along the routes between parks. They handle the details of each day: permits, timing, wildlife tracking and clear communication with travellers throughout the trip.
Behind every safari is a local operations team coordinating logistics, transport and accommodation, so that plans made in advance hold up once you're on the road.
