3-Day Kibira Forest National Park

3 Days - 2 Nights | Volcanoes National Park

Kibira-National-Park-Safari

Overview

Kibira National Park, tucked into the rugged highlands of northwestern Burundi, is one of Central Africa’s last remaining montane rainforest strongholds, forming a vital ecological link with Rwanda’s Nyungwe Forest. Renowned for its dense canopy, misty ridges, and rich biodiversity, Kibira shelters chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, duikers, and over 200 bird species. This 3-day safari combines forest trekking, primate encounters, and cultural immersion in Bujumbura, offering travelers a rare, off-the-beaten-path experience into one of Africa’s least-visited wilderness areas, paired with comfortable city-based accommodation each night.
